2000. Tsukihime. Type-Moon's first visual novel. A vampire princess called Arcueid Brunestud. Serious, beautiful, tragic.

2001. Somewhere in the Tsukihime extras, somebody draws Arcueid as a cat. Nobody stops them. Neco-Arc is born.

2002 and on. Melty Blood. The joke gets a fighting game slot. Tiny, loud, unfair. Nobody picks her by accident.

2011. Carnival Phantasm. She runs a café now. There are several of her. This is never explained.

2021. Tsukihime gets its remake. The internet finds the cat. Burenyu. The clips do not stop.
